Google Analytics Beginners Tutorial 2023

In this video, I'll give you a quick overview and beginners tutorial of Google Analytics.

By the end of this beginner style tutorial, my goal is for you to feel confident to be able to view and understand your website traffic.

While Google Analytics can be very complex and overwhelming, the basics are quite simple to understand and view. I've learned that there are 3 main areas you'll typically look at which are:

1) Audience (WHO) people are doing on your site
2) Acquisition (HOW) they got to your site
3) Behavior (WHAT) they're doing on your site

That was a really helpful tutorial! I was recently going through an online interview and being older, I did not know what Google analytics meant. But now I understand because this used to be called Web trends! I had several websites and used the service all the time to track where people were coming from and how long they were on my site and remembered unique visitors versus complete page visitors and page views. So the name has changed and the platform but basically I really clicked with this video once I realized what it was. I will have to check out your channel because being an older person returning to the industry as well as visually impaired, a lot of things have changed LOL thank you again!

Great walk through, I am working to really understand google analytics in depth so I can better guide my own businesses and future clients but the majority of the videos I have come across don't break it down into a more simple method of understanding how analytics is laid out and where to start to understand your traffic.
