IF YOU'RE CURRENTLY TAKING REAL ANALYSIS watch this entire series! It is amazing. I got an A- last semester in real, and I had never gotten an A in a college level math class before. You will learn, and you will have fun watching these videos. Keep it up, you've got this.

I wish you were my professor when I was a college kid. You make it look easy, but it takes a remarkable amount of effort and talent to talk about real analysis in the way that you do. Most professors that teach this topic speak to their students as if they are already PhDs.

I am a physician (anesthesiologist) with a chemical engineering background and I'm watching this series for fun. I took multivariable calculus, differential equations, linear algebra and discrete mathematics but never ventured into real analysis, complex analysis, abstract algebra, and so on. You are incredibly gifted as a teacher. This series is a privilege to watch.

I am an engineering student.. and I always wanted to understand the "low level manipulations" in calculus.. Since even though I am really good at calculus with great intuition regarding the concepts, applications, visualizations and techniques.. I always felt like I am missing out on the "formal formulation" of calculus or how it came to be strictly and rigorously and notionally the way it is.. That is, until I googled the term "real analysis" once.. and that put everything in perspective.. I really hope I am right about this understanding of the structure of calculus and mathematics and not saying nonsense. I am an engineering student but the day I stop learning mathematics is the day I pull the plug on furthering my brain.

Awesome work prof., keep it up, respect from Cairo..

Came for the adding machines, stayed for the maths. You're a really great teacher.

Just finished my master's online (only the first semester was held in person). Now watching real analysis lectures because I'll be teaching the subject (still online) assuming I get hired at our university. I think I'll follow this entire series.

Thank You So Much Sir...No one literally No one explained me like this.

Treating your students like the adults they are, amazing. I had a few professors that didn't do this and those classes were awful. Thank you for your hard work.

Amazing content. it is rather unfortunate that we are unable to have a video of the things you discussed in the class (normal sessions). however this is really good and thank you.

watching from Tanger, Morocco.

Are there any good textbooks or further material that you recommend for helping understand real analysis?

I just planned to stop by here for a second to see what would happen if I checked out an online math course waaay above my level.. Stuck around to the end. Great lecture! I think I"ll check out some more of these...

how are you writing on the board forwards and not backwards?

So is real analysis mostly focused on proving calculus theorems rigorously?

Thanks a lot for these lectures! I really appreciate your effort.

I'm a Ph.D student of public policy and statistics. I haven't taken pretty much any calc or analysis courses in college. Or high school, unfortunately. But, at the same time, I've never liked doing black box calculations. I always wanted to know the theoretical statistics behind why the LASSOs and Ridges and Taylor Series and so on worked as it did beyond simply an applied statistics approach.

Dear Prof. @Chris Staecker do you have homework and exams for this course? If yes, it would be great if you can share them. Thanks!
