Turn the can upside down and shake. It will cause more of the fluid itself to enter, therefore more gas, because fluid is denser than gas, do this especially when doing a complete recharge, as it allows more refridgerant to exit. A 12 oz can of refrigerant will only yield up to 11 oz, and even less when the can is right side up.

Can you reuse the can in the future after you’re done if there is still some Freon left in can?

Are you sure your refrigerant is not 1234yf, not R134a? I know honda switched a while back.
