i might get hate for saying this but. i prefer windows 8.1 windows 10 has alot of shady stuff like. forced up installing by them self. an more. i felt like a beta tester when i was on windows 10. an some reason windows 8.1 just feels faster on my laptop an my laptop was just bought a year ago

I'm downgrading to Windows 8.1 because:
it looks better (in my opinion)
performance is a lot better
less bloated
better support for programs

I tried both for long periods, Windows 8.1 runs much better and smoother. I kept using it

When they end support for Windows 7, I'm going to 8.1 and using Classic Shell, if it's still around in 2020-2023

Windows 10 is my favorite! But 8.1 is also better than 8.

2019 I use windows 8.1 pro but also use classic shell on top it makes it look like windows 7 but also gives you a start menu that works like windows 7

On my computer Win 8.1 runs better than Win 10. Also, in my opinion Win 8.1 have much better design than Win 10.

I upgraded my windows 7 to 10 one time. After 3 weeks it started to get slow and mostly apps wont respond. I downgraded to windows 8.1 today and its better than 10 (I didnt to win 7 because of end support)

there is only cosmetic difference between both the windows but in starting windows 10 works better but windows 10 becomes slower with time

In my laptop somehow windows 8.1 works better than windows 10! As for what i use it they both get the job done, but windows 10 gets a bit slower after a while!

I vote for 8.1

Less power usage
Less annoying features that eats up your RAM pointlessly
Runs better
More compatible with older programs

Switch back to Windows 8.1, the Windows 10 had problems since day one. To me, it is like a half-ass and baked Windows, and nowadays, we are the bug tester, not them.
