History of Slavs...
Every historian and scientist, that ever doubted into immigration theory of Slavs, always came with same conclusion: Ancestors of Slavs are Veneti! I made video about it, and I will continue making videos about it, so this Veneti theory will became more known.

@Slovejnc Czechs are Slovaks who left Slovaks and mixed with Poles. That is the reason why Czech and Slovak languages are so similar. In the past Czech sounded completely like Slovak, but they are diverging from us. Boians left Bohemia empty and the Czechs took a refuge in the deserted land. Nestor says so.

My girlfriend grew up in Slovenia and I've found that many words are 100% identical in Macedonian and Slovene, surprisingly the same are more or completely different with Serbo-Croatian. I think people are getting more aware to the fact that we've always been here and we didn't just stroll down from Russia and pitched tents and straw houses. Very interesting video and site.

Pomoc! (Help!) I, too, am West Slav (Slovkian), and for the past 5 years, I have been researching my lineage from the Slavic Branch Tree (what a breakdown there is: East, West & South). As for the West Slav, I have come across a lot of information you have presented here and truly find this fascating. To this day, I am still hungry for more infornation, but for now, thank you for your indepth look into West Slavs.

Jeez, why to argue among ourselves, whether slovins are western or southern, I think all Slavs should unite and get our taken territory from those traitors in Germany, Greece, Balts and so on.I'm Moravian, my country's not even free, but it's united with our brethren Bohems and Silesians, and I wish for it to be united with all slavs from Slovaks and Polish, through Serbs and Russians to those which are in Foreign countries like Sorbs or Bulgar Greeks.Have a happy new year, yours Slav.

@wexx0 As you can see from text of this oldest chronicle in Czech language, original homeland is called Croatia ("Charvatci"). Croatia is of course not contemporary Croatia, but original homeland shared by Czechs and (probably) White Croats. There is no mention about Pannonia. Murder ("muzobojstvo") is mentioned, but without name of victim.

first step is respect the others
second step understand others
third, love unconditionally others
then, each of us, enjoy true selves
it than, will not matter, who is Slavs

By the way, how various people lived - villages, technology etc. - is one thing, but it is a cultural thing that can be changed within a few generations.

How the peoples looked like cannot.

And I am convinced that all the "Veneti" people were essentially Celtic, i.e. similar to the Irish or Scottish, with a high percentage of redheads etc. That's not what we typically call "Slavic" today.

Celtic cultures are surely a part of the West Slav nations' history but they're not quite "us".

@andranEU also "VEDA" was originally NOT Sanskrit's term ... We can understand it, because it is a pure, natural root - when in Sanskrit is artificial. This is the beauty of the language

Great Moravia, Czech kingdom, and other kingdoms would appear in the 4 following centuries.

But I think there's no serious doubt that the Slavs came to our Western corners from an older country somewhere in Belarus/Ukraine.

The Lusatians were the Slavic minority in the "DDR" Wendish territory, which was itself mostly Germanic. The Urnfield culture is much older, around 1000 before Christ, and it was dominated by old "Celts" and "Germanic" people, I think.

@fabers185 Actually belarus has a language of their own just the political aspect of it is that they are forced to speak russian, but the sound and alote of the words are the same

@VendPrekmurec Besides Herodot explains wolf-cults of Neuri and they might be Slavs (alongside Budini).
He also tells about the cult of Dionis (which doesnt mean that Dionis was Slavic god but if you would read about the that cult in Greece you would know what he meant by that). And we also have good explaination of slavic way of fighting and sacrifying cult. Slavs had no metal. They build everything out of wood. When fighting the would stick sharpened stake in the ground and throw enemy on it.

Still, the largest portion of not only the Czech DNA is "Slavic" with the characteristic features such as women's broad waistlines. These features distinguish "us" (approximate term) from the old Celtic, Germanic, Latin ethnic groups.

Of course, one can go even further to the history, and you will find out that the whole "white race" has come here from the East (India, China?), and homo sapiens was born in South (?) Africa much earlier, so everything is mixed up by migration and mixing.

@mrdrmiki Yes Dalmatia was a roman province but got the name in the late years of the empire. And yes it got the name after the city od Dalma but it was not in Nevesinje but medieval Dumno which is today Duvno.
