I’m happy with my Shield and love it! I’m so glad they’ve updated it and will continue to offer what I consider to be THE best streaming box in the market. And my Shield remote uses a button cell battery, the Pro and original Shield had the built in ones.

Pretty excited about this. I'm usually not an incremental upgrade person and have been rocking a 2015 model since it came out. But I may actually jump on board for one of these after I see your initial impressions and tests video.

What? The battery is replaceable. There's a little circle on the bottom of the remote, push it in with a pen, toothpick, whatever. The battery tray will pop out. It takes a cr2032.
