ive been running CNC routers for over 25 yrs and am amazed that today, you can basically build one for under 5k and have it be just as accurate as a half million dollar machine.

You should check the diagonals equality to ensure it is perpendicular

I think you probably should somehow check that it's 90°. While the techinique shown naturally ensures the sidebars are parallel, there's no quarantee it being perpendicular.

it does not self-align. you are almost guaranteed to make a slight trapezoid. it will run fine and make parts but they won't be accurate. it will be painfully obvious if you have to do both sides of a sheet and the program won't line up no matter what you do.

Got one where i work, great machine but finding useful programs to run on it without a monthly subscription is impossible, but it makes a nice storage or work bench. Also burned the router up inside 2 months of use

Another small cnc machine for small workshop but made in US and unobtainium here in europe...
If you guys ever feel like the market is saturated in the US feel free to relocate here in europe because here if you want a cnc machine of any type all you can get are huge industrial 5 meter long machine that cost "get a quote"

Round linear rails are the least stable construction method. it show up as vibrations in the middle of the axis.
