I love channels like this that are being honest if they don't like something, most people would just pretend that they like every food but lets be real everyone has a different taste.
Great vid! 🙂

1:47 That's what makes döner different from the sauced variants in other countries. We like to savor the taste of the meat.

The first baklava that you tried was called “Kadayıf tatlısı” and it is not considered baklava, just a dessert with sugar syrup and walnuts or pistachios. They cook some kind of waffle/pancake mixture on big pans to make this noodle texture, it is called “kadayıf”. When kadayıf is cooked and dried, they shape it and put syrup and walnuts. On the other hand we need very very thin layers of pastry to make baklava, at least 40 layers they say. After baklava is cooked in oven, they put sugar syrup on it, too. Similar tastes with diferent texturest like you guessed. Thank you very much for your vlog :)

Note: Our pistachios are not Italian, it comes from Gaziantep, we call it “Antep fıstığı” 😂
And you need to run for at least 30 minutes to burn calories from 1 piece of baklava. 🤣

Wow that part of the world knows how to cook some good grilled meats. Looks so good. Flavourful without being overly spiced or saucy.

Try to go ESNAF LOKANTASI where you can taste the several vegetable dishes cooked in their juices inside the pan.

Here in the Balkans/Eastern Europe (and ofc Turkey), we're used to the taste of organ meat so this is generally quite good, I really love kokorec. If you try "drob" (which is like romanian haggis) it tastes similar. That Iskender looked amazing, it's my favorite kebab and that butter must make it even better. Just need to try the kunefe(especially in a traditional place like Hafiz Mustafa which is very close to Blue Mosque) and all the borek types and maybe something like maklube, çoban kavurma

Right, döner is the way the meat is prepared on that rotating thing! That bread looks so soft and fresh. That is excellent quality street food.
