for our flat earth friends out there, does NASA plan on sending this probe to the other side or bottom side of the sun where it doesn't shine? You know, cause of course the sun is flat too, not a sphere, so it only shines on the side facing us. Or do we need to keep that a secret? Okay, don't tell anybody...

This is super-interesting news and this mission could one day save our planet! With a decade of work on the heatshield for this mission, Betsy Congdon should deservedly feel very proud! I'm proud to be her fellow citizen. She will one day go down in history as the person who made 'near-star' flight possible. Maybe the heatshield will be used on man-piloted spacecraft one day!!!

But Space Force? Space Force, really? Why even bring that stupid concept up? That's not a thing that we should even acknowledge! We all know 'Space Force' is basically what a 5 year old would decide upon if he were President. It's literally a couple of words put together by an idiot to try to get people to move their attention away from the Robert Mueller investigation. Fn Space Force? We're not in a World War and so why does Trump sound like he's planning to go war in Space? That's so... ugh, idk.... dumb? You fill in the blank. But really... wouldn't you, if you were POTUS, want to promote peace to your people and the world? Why the hell talk about Space Force shortly after pretty much "bending the knee" to Putin? Words really can't explain the level of ridiculousness in our White House today, I guess.

The other countries on this planet aren't considering we end up going to war with each other in Space or ever hinted it. So why does the POTUS happen to bring up the concept of 'Space Force'? If we make first contact with aliens, we're probably not going to go to war with them, we would want to make a peaceful first contact so they share their technology and we can then venture into space prepared and with some guidance. That's when we can start a "Space Force". I kind of care what's happening with our planet now. And right now, aliens are probably watching us and thinking what I was thinking when I first read Lord Of The Flies, "if only they had more life experience and knowledge...".

Please don't mix the rants of an ignorant politicians in with this work that NASA is doing here. NASA is doing real work to help our planet by trying to understand our nearest star. The White House is doing... IDK what they're doing... but whatever they're doing, I'm sure we can all agree that it's productive for our planet. They don't care about Climate Change/carbon emissions, they don't care about the environment (**cough** Paris Agreement!), they don't care about immigrant families that aren't white, they don't care about equality, or really anything that is considered 'forward thinking' or progressive, productive, or logical. Sending out tweets to troll people and whine and complain and make excuses about what people said or wrote about you in the media won't stop a bad solar flare or prevent a meteor from destroying our planet. Putting up a wall at the Mexico border does nothing but waste tax payers money and makes our country look even more backwards to the rest of the world who already sees us as a fat and lazy people. Who gives a fuck about what Donald Trump thinks (he's not a scientist)? And with his level of intelligence and level of care for anything other than himself, he doesn't have the capability of understanding our complex planet; let alone our solar system or galaxy. Thus, he wouldn't know where to start in trying to save this rock called Earth.

I think we should care about the planet we leave to our children and grandchildren. We all know Donald Trump will go down in history as the stupidest, most cowardly, most unfit POTUS ever. Also, his actions will mark the point in US History where our civilization took a step backwards. But geez don't muddle up super-interesting news like this with what an who is also most trolliest internet troll of all time said. Can we not all just focus on the Science for once? We all live on the same god damn planet and our racist, ignorant president wants to start fn "Space Force"? Reagan wanted to do "Star Wars". But no one remembers that because it was as Space Force is, a dumb idea used to pull people's attention away from something else.

I miss Barry-O, Carl Sagan, and Science :(
