NASA robots on Mars are achieving unprecedented results driven by systematic advances in autonomous capability. We’re at the cusp of launching a rocket from Mars with international collaboration. As the frontier expands there is likely to be sustained robotic presence on the Moon and Mars. This talk highlights some of the opportunities and challenges for AI in space.
