Africa is too big and too diverse to expect unification, and saying that Africa should unite is the equivalent of expecting Canada, the USA, Mexico, and all other North American nations along the land bridge to unify, and since there is a wall between USA and Mexico, that seems to be going rather well doesn't it?

I think Japan and South Korea are stronger technologically than the US. They might not compete in terms of military or economy but in terms of culture they're also on the rise while the US has reached its peak culturally.

Assuming that the US and EU maintain close relations, It's likely going to come down to whether or not China can sway the ROK, Japan, and the ASEAN countries away from the United States as a preferred economic and political partner.
