My parents were married in 1955. They received a set of Cutco knives and accessories for a wedding present. I was born in 1957 and I still use these knives daily. I learned how to cook with Cutco. They have never been factory sharpened. I use a steel on them occasionally and they are good to go. Without a doubt, they are the best knives on the market!

I have had my knife set since 1973. Two have been replaced for free and all have been sharpened. They are the only knives in my house. I have bought sets for my daughters too. Best product I have ever bought.

(I'm sure this is not going to get a comment from Cutco!) I had my knife for one day and returned it. Unlike the overwhelming majority of American companies, Cutco pushes the cost of returning to customers--and, believe me, it is expensive. The thing is SO sharp it almost cut my finger off. I have cooked for thirty years and never had such bad experience. Unless you are a professional cook, stay away from these things.
