Pidges are intelligent and affectionate creatures and I love them. I put out seeds every morning and I keep a handful of peanuts in my pocket for them when I venture into the middle of the city. Haha, pigeons!🐦😊

I still don't understand why are pigeons so underrated. They are "pests" because they have no other choice! They are like homeless people. They just got used to city street life and they are mostly even thriving in it with their own routine and stuff. They are smart for living on the street and having then as pets would be even better.

I have a pigeon who just picked us out of no where she knows our daily routine and comes in at night time it is becoming winter soon so I am fighting with myself now as I want her to continue to have her/his freedom but he sleeps on the porch for now it's been 3 days and she is coming to call commands, landing on our shoulders, eating from our hands etc not sure what to do at this point so if anyone has info please let me know.

I have a question, I’m in a family friends house due to a family emergency, couldn’t take the pigeons with me and they’re alone in the house for 3 days now. I’m VERY worried but fortunately we will reunite tmr! I left them with enough food for 24 hours, a good amount of water. Any complications I should be aware of?

Extremely smart OMG they are smart they know when your coming home, even when your outside they come right to you and stay near.

Biggest sell point would be pigeons have simpler minds thus making domestication easier while parrots have complicated dynamics with eachother and owners. Also they are always on edge between fight or flight depending on size. I have 2 budgies and I have to be gentle because they are very suspicious of everything but If I have macaws or cockatoos then I would complain about aggression rather than flight
