Did you test the shift quality between 2nd and 3rd gear at cold temp/startup, & test again after normal operating temp was reached.?

If ATF is overfilled, can it lead to a false reading of solenoid being blocked?

I noticed he is like most. Makes videos making people think he is out to help them. He is only here to help with the video because he wants views. Loves comments. Just dont get nothing for helping answer peoples questions that we believe he shouod answer since he knows so much. You will only find the newer mechanics with less subscribers that will actually care and answer questions.

Great video...i disconnected my shifter, due to using an upgraded transmission, and now my 95 Pathfinder, won't go into 3rd or 4th gear, after it warms up...I'm using a 2001 Nissan Xterra transmission which has different wire connections, than my stock 94 Pathfinder harness, at the shifter location

I changed my valve body and all because my pathfinder was stuck in low gear, but now everything works as it should except I have to rev the engine to go into reverse

Does a faulty solenoid cause a transmission to suddenly drop from top gear back to 3rd where it will stay sometimes up to 10 mins and then it changes back to top gear and is ok for 20 mins sometimes then back down to 3rd again?

2008ford sport track when I come to a stop at a red light it hesitates going into gear when I drive off I do believe that would be the gear shift solenoid am I correct

I have a Toyota Platz (vitz form) its an automatic with the same problem at first it was shifting pretty fast when i Accelerate upto 10Mph it engage it self from 1, 2, 3 but it's stuck on one Gear i will try out that

Hello if any can help I would appreciate it.

I have a VZ Calais that when it’s cold, and I put in reverse, it gives a big shudder then stops.

If I run it to warm it, or drive it for a few minutes (in forward!) first, then I can use reverse.

Any suggestions?

If my transmission shift at 3 to 4K from a stop could the selonoids be the issue? Ive had the engine replace about a year ago but had ny care sitting for a few months thorughout the year i have no trans codes either its a 13 kia optima trans has 144k miles engine is 6k miles now

Hello,
I have a problem with my automatic transmission – Renault grand Scenic 2 – 2006 – 2.0L.
When I start driving with a cold motor, the transmission is smooth. After 30 minutes of driving in town, with the whole system hot, I start to have harsh shifting, especially with the first gear. After stop on red light for instance, the first gear disengages and wouldn’t shift when accelerating, like going to N position. After a while it would engage brutally. After starting driving on, it’s ok more or less until the next stop. The same with the Reverse gear, It keeps like in N position. When I try to move to manual drive, the same issue witht th e 1st gear. But here, if I choose the 2nd gear, it shifts smoothly! To exclude the electronic problem, I’ve changed the gear electronic card. The same problem. What could be the issue here? What do you suggest to do?
