I measure that way too. One day our son asked if I measured my recipes and I said "yes" I really do. I know that my palm holds exactly 1/4 C and the little dip in the center is 1 teaspoon of salt. I guess at the broth or water, but I am right on when they challenged me and actually took measuring devices to check. "Mom, how did you do that?" One day I checked myself and found what parts of my hand held how much. Of course, the fact that I had been cooking for 80 years may have something to do with it too! We love Hamburger Soup, and made with Thrive Life it is sooo delicious!

Thank you for sharing!! I literally just did the Fiesta Taco soup, Tortilla soup, breakfast burritos and hearty veggie beef soup in jar’s yesterday. Your broccoli cheese soup and chicken noodle recipe I jarred up last month and put it in the pantry. So good!! Now I can add the hamburger soup as well. Blessings all!

Watching the replay, thank you. I sign up under you and have been ordering every month, but was not using it because I was not sure
How to use it.

We bought a Harvest Right freeze dryer last fall and I have been freeze drying a lot of fruits, vegetables and meat that we have in our freezer.

You look so slender, Christy.
And younger!
Thanks for sharing.
I will never buy a freeze dryer, but I would love to have one.

I have a freeze dried watermelon and it's delicious--just takes a long time because of all the moisture.

Instead of corn starch in my stews, soups, I often use the mashed potato powder!!

Love all the Thrive Life foods, except celery. I prefer celery dehydrated and I use it whole or powdered.

I would have to make it chicken soup because of the hubby's Alpha Gal disease. But it's an easy switch to chopped chicken and chicken bullion. It's so easy with Thrive Life to make adjustments as needed.

My husband bought a package of prepper food before I knew him. There was some canned Mountain House meals in there. Last month I decided to fix a Chicken Teriyaki meal that was included. You had to cook the whole #10 can at once.. IT WAS AWFUL.. My husband said there was no need to keep the leftovers. He'll eat anything so that will tell you how bad it was. Last spring I made a bunch of jar meals with freeze dried and dehydrated foods. We enjoy them from time to time.
