Fallout after global outage, how long will the ripple effects last?

Firstly it is common sense to TEST your update BEFORE rolling it out!!

You would think for such a widespread update, that it would go through thorough testing before deployment

This is why I miss the days of SCCM and other on premise endpoint management tools. We could get the update and test in our environment. Everyone wants to go to the cloud. At end of the date, there is no cloud it just someone else computer.

Why didn't CrowdStrike TEST their stupid stupid software patches on an internal farm of machines to check the integrity/safety of those damn patches before sending them out to millions of computers? Such a company should be heavily fined and then totally broken up and the pieces sold to cheap pawnshops!

Piles and piles of lawsuit are going to follow. Microsoft should discontinue this stupid Auto-Update. All these individual enterprises or companies should individually deploy the update themselves before massively deploying to all stations.

Hugh? We know what happened and why it happened. So, why are you ending with them figuring out what happened, when you have reported on it for days. If they did not know what happened they could not be fixing it. Why do you hosts always have to add little, usually stupid, comments at the end?
