I really hope Jane and Heimdall don't come back, and that the Valhalla scene was just a nice way of showing that they finally got peace after death.

The stones might be capable of resurrection. It's possible that Banner was unable to bring back Natasha because she had been sacrificed for the stones, rather than simply them being unable to undo death.

The problem with the gauntlet not being able to bring back life is that the requirements for the soul stone was to sacrifice someone you love (a soul for a soul) and bringing back Natasha would make the obtainment of the soul stone and the sacrifice made for it null.

Perhaps the fact Thanos didn't really interact with the gods. Eternity seemed like something the gods knew about only and the entity in the necro-sword is as old if not older than the gods so would also know.

The stones are physical object that have significant power on thier own so would be recorded and tracked throughout history. Eternity probably just slipped into myth only known to be true by those who would rather eternity remained slumbering

The simple answer is Taika Waititi came up with the idea of Eternity granting wishes afterwards. The in-world answer is probably bc Thanos wasn’t a god and maybe wasn’t aware of Eternity at all.

Imagine the Avengers went to Eternity instead of timetraveling. However, a theory of mine is that Maybe Eternity’s location was never allowed to be visited by anyone in the Sacred timeline, and after the events of Loki, The TVA could no longer prevent the location of Eternity to become known by Gorr, or anyone for that matter.

The requirements to gain admission to Valhalla is to die in battle while holding your weapon in your hand.

It was the ultimate insult to a viking to die in battle without your weapon in hand, so if you respected your enemy you would grant them admission to Valhalla by giving your enemy their weapon before you killed them.

My big question was: How did nobody else access Eternity. In the Omnipotence City scene we find out that gods really are super selfish, and that Zeus has access to his own bifrost (his thunderbolt) So why did he never want to go to eternity simply for his own sake?

The real answer- the writers of infinity war didn’t know that taika was going to introduce it 4 years later

Thor thought the Eternity thing was a myth. He only heard of it because he was a God so Thanos wouldn't have heard of it at all.

FYI after Love “comes back” there is a moment as she walks up to Gorr that you see her reflection in the water and you see the cosmic look of Eternity. I’m pretty sure that Eternity just became Love.

Simple. It's not the same Thanos as the comics... At least in terms of motive. One wanted population control, the other just wanted to impress Death.

Although the movie uses the word "The" in reference to its Necrosword, in the comics there is definitely more than one. Hela, for example, wields a Necrosword.
In fact, they are made from the same substance as the Symbiotes and depending on the comic writer in question, are often actually sleeping Symbiotes themselves.

Whether or not this fact is upheld in the MCU remains to be seen, but wielding a Necrosword has the same knowledge-transfer effect as bonding with a Symbiote.
Whatever knowledge that Symbiote obtained from previous hosts because available to its current host. This is how Gorr learned about Eternity and the seal only breakable by Stormbreaker.

My question isn't "why Thanos didn't use eternity?" Because Thanos is single minded and stubborn and it makes sense why he wouldn't know about eternity or wouldn't care about it. My question is "why didn't the avengers seek eternity in endgame?" Because thor had stormbreaker then and knew the myth of eternity. Even if he didn't know that stormbreaker was the key, if they had put in an ounce of effort I am sure they could've figured it out
