What part of "Do Not Knock Out" did you not understand.

This is exactly why reading and learning is not about how many years you have lived on this earth.

Where did you get your training? First of all, it's a nut, not a bolt; second, right on the blade it says in bold letters, "Do not knock out, twist out." Geez!

what you used is a machine nut, not a bolt. You sure know your hardware.

Don’t do that. I did this to my Diablo blade and it got a twist now. Which makes it dangerous blade to use. Just get hole hole punched and push on it and twist the diamond and once it out enough to grab with plier. Than twist forth and back with plier and done. Save your blade, means protect your safety, and than maybe money.

This would be great advice, had you not used a blade that is designed by the manufacturer to be twisted out...

Make sure the first aid kit is handy and watch the video on a there's a better way of not bleeding out from a circular saw blade wound while waiting for the ambulance. A buddy threw a retractable utility knife at a wall and it bounced and hit me in the leg. I was a little pissed off because it hurt but I wasn't too concerned as how much damage could one of those little box cutters really do. Then a noticed my whole pant leg was covered in blood it somehow cut through my jeans. Long story, but it hit an artery and I almost bled out. Two ambulance rides that day and a bunch of stitches. As well as an ambulance ride and another trip to the hospital a couple weeks later to get a bled clot out due to my improper tourniquet i just tied piece of cloth around my upper leg as ambulance was 20 mins away and it was pouring out like a faucet. It's fairly minor but swinging at nut with a hammer and balancing the blade on a plastic circle that was unsupported in an elevated position seems ok but it could easily take a bad bounce and end up off the table. There was also a sticker on the other side of the blade that was over the insert that held it in when he hit it. Just by the sound you could tell something wasn't right and the blade did bounce im su. I think he's right when he said there's a better way. I think the guy who sent the tip in probably meant a half inch socket as I found a 13 mm deep socket worked better as it was long enough to hold where that nut is too small and it goes flying. I used a hole saw to make a recess in a piece of scrap wood that worked perfect as it supported the whole back of blade. Im not trying to be a jerk as I appreciate the video as didn't even know blades had knock outs. Which is comical because someone commented that it says to twist out on the blades and if you look in the video, on the blade there's an arrow pointing to center and it says Do not knock out LOL. The diablo ones seem like they are a lot tougher to twist out so the tap out method worked good for me.

I guess he missed the part where it says right on the blade not more than 1/8 of an inch from where he knocked it out DO NOT KNOCK OUT. 🤔🤔

On the blade it says 'DO NOT KNOCK OUT!'. You just knocked out the square. How does that diamond shape go into the round saw nut?
I guess this is a joke. Good to make it clear in the beginning or people will waste a Diablo saw blade.

One of the reasons I quit subscribing to FH. They have lost touch with the people who actually build. The guy is wearing pristine occidentals with no tools, just to 'fit the part'. The magazine used to feature tips from the field. Now it only features million dollar homes that the typical craftsman will never work on and could never afford.
