Very handy tool to have if you plan to work on your Jeep, such as replacing radiator hoses.
Tool will help to squeeze & hold locked in opened position on those stubborn constant tension clips that you find around the ends of hoses. Reaching deep down into engine bay makes it difficult to rely on regular pliers.
Some hand tools will be too awkward or big to position for adequate grip force--cramping your hands.

This tool has 2 different diameter positions to adjust before using. Lock is both to lock & release lock.

A small socket can be slipped over the clamp if you do it just right. I usually use vice grips. That clamp actually looks like one that locks itself in the open position though. My father-in-law bought a tool that is used to push a stuck hose off of a nipple without messing it up. Definitely a time-saver when working on 20+ year old engines.
