Mark Bartlett, who wielded a loaded gun while yelling racial slurs to protesters in Miami, pulled this abominable stunt in court. John Iadarola and Jayar Jackson break it down on The Damage Report.

"Witnesses testified in Miami-Dade County court on Monday in the case of Mark Bartlett, who wielded a loaded gun while yelling racial slurs to protesters on Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2019 at Miami’s Brickell Avenue Bridge. In testimony in front of Miami-Dade Circuit Court Judge Alberto Milian ahead of Bartlett’s “stand your ground” hearing on Tuesday, Jamal Anderson, who was a minor when Bartlett, then 51, allegedly threatened him, listed some of the insults and racial slurs he endured."

What?! "BIKES UP, GUNS DOWN", and this s.o.b. brought a gun and confronted children.

Having a gun and threating people when you know nobody else has a gun is a clear sign of a coward. He's probably afraid of everything.

That is not stand your ground. That's open intimidation with a firearm.

That guy was puffing out his chest while waving around his gun like he’s overcompensating himself at a bunch of eleven year olds. Lol.

My father was a cop (retired) who told me that "You never pull your gun, unless you're
going to use it".

We used to call this "brandishing a firearm"

The wife knew her husband had a gun and was trying to manufacture a situation where he could use it .

Doesn't stand your ground require you to be approached rather than the one doing the approaching.

I work in law enforcement in Florida and I HATE the stand your ground defense. Like you said it's not stand your ground when you go and confront someone. You can't claim you were in fear for your life if you leave a safe place and then put yourself in danger. This man was never in danger even if he didn't have a weapon these kids were not looking to be violent that was all him and his wife.

They didn't even 'put themselves in danger' - they brandished a firearm at a bunch of kids on bicycles. The ONLY 'danger' there was them, not the kids they were menacing.

She charges the kids and goes toward them then claims ''they ran over her foot''. This racist couple came looking for trouble.

Her foot seems fine enough to walk back and forth, without any limping

First charge should be brandishing a weapon. Second charge menacing. Third charge deadly conduct

They can't run over your foot, if you stayed in the vehicle.

I'm 56 yrs old and have owned guns for TRAP shooting and hunting my whole life.
NEVER EVER WOULD WE WALK AROUND OR CARRY IN OUR CARS LOADED GUNS.
THIS IS INSANE.
HOW THE HELL DID THIS EVER BECOME LEGAL?
THIS IS IGNORANT AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.

This is no longer a ''normal'' argument. This goes deeper and it's more evil.

I think we all know how this will escalate one horrible sad day. 😟
