I am VDJ for life. I have used it since Atomix I bought pro 10 years ago. Free upgrades since then and I don't hide it at clubs and gigs I show it. Everyone claiming Serato but I can't do it I do videos something serato just started. And I luv vdj as it plays any format of video I can also show slides type messages etc all while playing. Very essential features for a mobile vdj without serato complications. Dont forget o can use ANY HARDWARE with it. It the best bang for my dollars. Oh and yes I don't do Macs either windows all the way never had a problem in my 12 years using a laptop. My current laptop bought in 2013 custom made. Just bought a Mac but not ready to transition yet

The $19 to try it for a month is a deal and $300 for a lifetime is a steal for the ease of Video mixing alone

I'm currently a Serato user. I started with BPM Studio-Virtual DJ-Traktor Now Serato. I only use an older version of Virtual DJ's autoplay for dinner and cocktail hour. I really like customizing the fade ins and mixes for auto-dj on Virtual DJ. I can do autoplay in serato but I can't customize each track on when it's mixed in. Another cool feature is being able to listen ahead when a track is playing in VDJ. The search functionality is fast and accurate with VDJ too. I know they just introduced stems in an easier way than Traktor. That tbh sounds like a lot of fun. I know it has it's limitations but it's an extra tool in your tool box. I just stay with Serato because I prefer it for performance purposes. Plus I have so many queue points and grids, notes and loops created it's not worth starting from scratch. I'm not a fan of the look of Virtual DJ, even with different skin options it still looks cartoonish. I also do not like the way the sound waves look either, they lack definition. The only software I wanted to try out in the last few years is rekordbox. Oh I forgot VDJ is awesome for videos too. I just might buy the new version just to have something I alternate with to spice things up lol.

Brian, PLEASE make more about VDJ. The why, the how, the speccials, the hints..all following your experience. I changed in 2020 to VDJ, comming from Traktor, went over Serato to Rekordbox...finally I was shocked after a test of VDJ. THIS SHIT ROCKS....has just the name of "un- pro", sound"....but I´ve learned: this has changed. It is no more ugly, it is, at least in my point of view, now the most pretty GUI of the DJ software stuff and has a few points worth to be mentioned. 1. flexibility, 2. full package. 3. instant stems.... PLEASE just give us more videos to the VDJ stuff. What is in your opionion the point to use it? Waht is sthe difference to the competition? What is possible? YOU have a trusted experience of the real world, you are no marketing guy...your result is counting.

In December of 2015 I was first my first attempting to DJ in public for the first time at the time I had no real clear understanding of what DJ software to use I only knew and heard about a certain software the DJs were using that will come into the club.... as I continue my journey to become a better DJ almost easy for me to realize that Virtual DJ was the better software equipped for me Richard DJ has led me to purchase brother along with the equipment DJ and then teaching me and Lead Me each and every step to the point that I'm very comfortable and confident in its ability and has told me a lot about different variations of music and that led me to be a lot more creative I've created my own style because of Virtual DJ and I must say I've been around quite a few DJs only to see them convert over to Virtual DJ even to the point that one of the most recognizable DJs in my area and he is a mentor to me has actually started doing commercials for Virtual DJ I thought would never have make a long story short Virtual DJ is definitely a good software I did try the monthly subscription I finally purchase a lifetime subscription for one time fee everything has been free from that point on I want to tell anyone looking to get into the DJ game consider Virtual DJ before you make a full commitment on what software are going to use...👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I was the guy who resisted VDJ for years if only because it was ugly. I saw others use it so I knew it could perform but it was like a hot chic with a brown tooth, so I used Serato and Djay Pro2 as my backup.
But a few months ago when the world stopped I got bored enough to try it for myself feeling that if I learned it I would at minimum be a better, more prepared dj.
Well now it's my daily driver, there is simply too much power and flexibility to ignore. I use to be a old school radio style dj (since 1988) but my style has definitely evolved, and VDJ makes being creative so much easier. A friend gave me his 140, 000 title karaoke library so I'm able to do that if need now, videos are on my horizon.
I still like and use the other guys but not very often.

Virtual DJ has been head and shoulders above the competition for a very long time. It isnt even a question, thats why I switched from Serato a year ago. Vdj is the one always offering innovative features that the others then copy years later. Another plus is that you only pay a set price once instead of being cheated into having to buy add ons like the rest of the dj software because they sell an incomplete, partial product.

Used VDJ for 10 Years, I'm a Mobile DJ using Video, flawless, can only remember a couple of crashes when I was using Win 7 but since then on Windows 10 no issues, great database features, custom contoller script. Also use it to run a Web Radio Station 24 x 7. Best €300 I have spent on software. The 2021 stem upgrade was a bonus, it makes mixing some difficult tracks a lot easier, the only problem I have had is some database corruption when I go back to VDJ2020 from 2021, this might be my particular setup not sure?

I've been using VDJ for about 3 months and absolutely love it. I was using Traktor and was hesitant at first because well, you know, we can be snobby about our gear. Transitioning to VDJ was very smooth. The only issue I had was that the Traktor control vinyl sounded quite a bit more "digital" when I hit the brake on the 1200. Switched to VDJ timecode vinyl with the same Traktor Z2 and the issue resolved. I don't think I'll ever go back. Someone did mention that the audio quality is better on Serato but I can't confirm. Does anyone have any experience with any type of degraded audio with VDJ?

Brian, please do more videos about VDJ. Why? Simple: I was on Traktor, left it due to their hardware approach that is pointing more on producers (or pure EDM guys) and does no more match mobile DJs in my opinion. So I moved to Serato...did like the more modern collection management, but was unhappy with the hardware (unstable Numark NS7II). So I went to Recordbox...seems the mixed up version of both worlds. A kind of combination of Traktor and Serato....but, how to say, I never found my fun with it. Worked like a robot, no issues...but some kind of boring. As I was finally tired of changing the software, everybody knows the pain in the ass to move the stuff and getting used, I tested VDJ. Point was: Having an independet software, regardless which hardware and finding the fun again. In a nuthshell: EVERYBODY that blames VDJ as non- pro seems never to have tested it. There is nothing less pro comparing to Serato or Rekordbox...but it is an universal tool for all kind of stuff. Worth the money, total underrated. I would love to hear and see based on YOUR massive experience within mobile DJing about this stuff. Backround: You and Jonathan was the two guys that inspiered me to make a little comeback on DJing after I left it for a few years. I can just say, instant stems is just the cream on top and outstanding game changer, that VDJ has blown me away. 5 days testing and I purchased the infinity license. Even if a little expensive, worth the money!
