Wastegate actuator - test

preview_player
Показать описание
Is wastegate actuator failure causing your car's lack of power?
A malfunctioning wastegate actuator won't regulate fumes going to the turbine. Although still driveable, this results in lack of power and acceleration which means the car is virtually unusable.
In this film I'll show you how to check easily whether or not the actuator is working.

Mine is starting to go out. That rod rattles back and fourth easily. No warning lights or codes just yet.

not really impressed, there is a lot more to it than just mounting

I guess this is 1.2 tsi engine by VW-group. Thanks for this film. Now I understand how it should work. Is this turbo the wastegate-type or variable-geometry one?

Hi where did you buy the replacement part from?

FOR ALL OF YOU WHO DON'T WANT TO GIVE MONEY FOR CALIBRATION, JUST TURN ON AND OFF IGNITION 15 TIMES, AND THEN START YOUR CAR AND THE EPC LIGHT WILL GONE 😉 THANK ME LATER (THIS WORKS ON MY SEAT IBIZA 1.2 TSI)

My car is doing exactly the same thing, but the mechanics insist the actuator is fine. When you move by hand it goes back and forth, but when you start the engine it only moves once then locks in position. He tried to calibrate it and it only goes to 77% but when the turbo is not connected it goes to 95% and advice? Please!!!

Hi, my vw 1.2 tsi wastegate actuator moves once or twice when i rev the engine. after that it stays in one position. no warning lights yet. When i try to move the rod with my had i see the same thing. it doesnt always come back to normal position. could it be actuator issue or the valve itself. any advice?
