Ok so GCSEs for people wondering are a set of standard exams that English school kids take at 16 (or 15)
Most kids will take ten or less subjects but it depends, like if you speak a language at home you can take that language as an extra GCSE. They are pretty hard but not a huuuge deal as the lonely relevance they hold is as an entry ticket to sixth forms and other higher education.
GCSEs are graded U (0) - 9 (9 bring the highest you can get)

I got 1 IGCSE at the moment, taking others in time, became severely ill at 12 and had to withdraw from school for many years but I managed to recover significantly.. Gonna go into law and computer science like i wanted to before I got sick

My best tip for revision is find out the opening times of your local library and study there when you can. If not, a WiFi cafe or something will suffice. Keep your revision space and your relaxation space separate, plus it’s fun to get out of the house and make a day of it.

I passed science with 4, French and child development with a 9 and maths with a 4, rest 3 sadly. will retake English soon, I just struggle with grammar and spelling.

i got 10 gcses but i go to grammar school so i’ve basically been treated like i failed bc i got some 5s and 6s among the 7s and 8s, and i might not be able to do the a levels i want

eta: the school is ignoring that the reason i got these grades is because i had a severe nervous breakdown last year
