The other GM should be commended for his sportsmanship. It wasn't mentioned here but if you watch the full thing he purposefully took a long time on his moves (even his opening that obviously a GM knows super well) until Magnus signaled to him that it was fine and he didn't need to. They didn't say any of it in words. It was a gentleman's thing, and you can tell by watching if you pay attention.

Why does this game get farmed so much but no one ever mentions the amazing sportsmanship from the opponent? That’s the best part of the whole thing, not the win, or the comeback, but someone having such a huge heart and respect for the game that they’d rather take it to even grounds than play with an advantage. Very few people would ever do that against a giant like Magnus, most would take the opportunity straight away and try to secure the win.
