In the ships logs of Dutch explorer Jacob Roggeveen's 1722 voyage, he reports sightings of living giants on the island, described as "savages". Men 12feet in height, women of 10 or 11feet.

The juxtaposition of the crude walls from the megalithic, precision structures makes it seem absurd that the same culture would have been responsible for both.

One of the drivers who delivers oxygen bottles to me is a man, American of European heritage. He is married to a woman from Easter Island of Rappa Neue heritage. He said on a recent visit there, her older relatives could identify the total line of heritage back to about 400 AD.

There is a lot to be learned about Easter Island.

totora reeds - and population in general: fish. follow the fish. sea mounds. one line from paracas to rapa nui. just google earth. consider the water level being around 100 m or more lower. additional islands. the fishermen of caral. now genetics: maybe it's not so that some south american natives contain some oceanic genes, could be that rather one south american tribe is the ancestor of half of oceania... there must be a big lot of archelogical stuff to be found on the shallow sea mounds (ISLANDS) south west of rapa nui... why has no one ever tried that and lifted an underwater moai?
