The Mandalorian Kept This A Secret!

Did you know that the Star Wars show The Mandalorian, didn’t allow critics to watch the show before it was released? They had to wait until the first episode was released on Disney plus but the reasoning behind it was because the studio didn’t want the information twisted about the existence of Grogu! However, after the show was released, a special screening was held just for critics where they were able to watch the next couple episodes early. I remember getting disney plus pretty early on and just looking for something to watch when the first episode hooked me. And like I enjoyed all the stuff at the beginning with the bar and the bounty hunting, but the second that little green Gizmo popped onscreen at the end, I knew I'd be hearing more about it online. And low and behold a few years later and Din and Grogu are both star wars icons now.

I kinda wish every show did this as I often disagree with critics and I feel like it makes the show worse for a lot of people if they go into it having seen what the critics said about it

This is also why Disney lost out on Christmas that year, they were so hell bent on keeping Grogu aka. Baby Yoda a secret they did nothing to get the merchandising online until April of the next year. Every child wanted a Baby Yoda for Christmas...

Pro tip: give a select few critics early access, have them sign NDA, change baby Yoda's color so it's different for each critic. Sue them into oblivion when baby Yoda is leaked and what color they said baby Yoda was.

I can't understand letting critics see a show before it's released. A few people give their opinion of a movie or programme that is not always accurate ... and which sometimes can affect it's success.

Wait is Disney plus still doing weekly releases of content like it was regular TV? Its a streaming service that shit should release all at once.
How am I going to marathon a show that only has 1 episode, I am glad I dont buy into Disney plus.
