Preventing mental health conditions

Objectives:

To highlight the importance of promoting mental health and preventing mental disorders, considering social determinants, strengthening protective factors and community resilience.
To promote a comprehensive approach to mental health promotion and prevention, encompassing various levels of promotion and preventive strategies. These strategies will address key aspects such as the life cycle, gender, human rights and interculturality.
To emphasize the importance of multisectoral action to promote and prevent mental disorders, involving all relevant sectors.
To highlight the importance of promoting mental health in children and adolescents.
To facilitate the exchange of experiences and resources between mental health professionals and other sectors, as well as between people with lived experience.
To raise awareness about the resources available to promote mental health and prevent mental disorders.
