I’ve been on my own mental health journey through therapy for the last few years… I’ve started to cut toxic people from my life and I have like 5 people left. It’s amazing how many people we keep in our lives just because we’ve known them for a long time no matter how bad they may be for our well being.

I never understand what people mean by support system. I have people who care around me. But I am in this dark place so often that I at some point stop talking to them about it, because 1) I feel horrible putting my burdens on them and 2) It just does not help to tell them in the first place.
I have tried all kinds of therapy and medication over several years. My "support system" wants to move on with their own lives at some point, especially when they are constantly confronted with me crashing over and over again

I struggled with mental health issues for a long time in my younger years. If my then primary dr, or the couple of therapists I saw, thought like you instead of going straight to medication, I think it would have helped SO Much!! I'm so grateful for you & ppl like you, gifting those watching your videos with these incredibly helpful bits of information!! Thank you so much, Dr Mike!!💗🥰

This is no doubt the best way to have a better mental health. ALWAYS remember to have at least ONE support system in life, be it your friends, family, teachers, colleagues, acquaintances, neighbours, even random strangers at times. Bc these support systems will always have your back and will lead you to an improved mental health.
One more thing, is that the effort to gain one such support system is YOUR JOB. It is YOUR responsibility to find yourself this system. NO ONE ELSE is going to reach out and talk, it’s painful but it is YOUR JOB to extend yourself and make connections. I feel in today’s generation, obv covid and the rise of social media has not only destroyed mental health for teens, but has also almost normalised being anti-social. Teens today don’t want to reach out and talk and hence struggle to cope with stress and anxiety. So please, know that it is your job to make connections and establish support systems which can help you in your dark times.❤

I hope most of them do because unfortunately, the number of people I've met who say they do not have anybody they can rely on is overwhelmingly high. Irrespective of their

No one. Literally no one. That’s what keeps me sane! Keeps me in the super sayan mode 24/7. No one knows this but I have my guard on 24/7. Stealth mode baby.
