I've been planning on adding some voyager-style door that operate somewhat like this to my house sometime in the next year or so. But I have not found any definitive, complete, and/or easy to follow guides on how to do so. The only difference with mine is I would be using a manual (Button/keypad) for entry, and it can lock of course.

I sure hope that when it is complete, there will be such a guide. Thanks

Oddly enough, the actual set doors on Star Trek TOS were operated manually, by 2 crew members. The hissing sound was then added in post production. Of course your way is much cooler.
