When you plug in the smart IQ you are no longer in power supply mode, you are in smart charging mode. When the jumper is unplugged the unit is suppose to supply 13.6v supply, when the jumper is inserted the unit is suppose to supply 14.2v. The IQ box makes is a smart charger only, not fixed supply. It looks like the Iota does not reach the supply values of 13.4 and 14.2. I would only use this for programming with the jumper inserted to get at least the 13.5v. Mini Cooper requires supply of 14.2. Most car make require at least 13.2 and higher for programming and accurate scanning

I don't think i have ever seen someone do Dia like you, my friend. I've been in the dealership world from day 1 and only worked in 1 independent shop. And never have i ever seen anyone use a computer to diag anything other than turbo under boost problems or vacuum leak issues/ fuel pressure related. But as i look on youtube you can scope out SO MUCH . To me it seems like a LOT of learning VS experience in being a 1 trick pony

I really like my IOTA DLS 55 IQ4 mine the module is inside the unit from the factory but I think my next one is going to be the exact model you have because you can tailor the charger on what you are young it for let say you are charging a Standard lead acid battery then you can select the regular IQ4 but if you want to charge a AGM or even a lithium battery you can buy different modules . on my DLS 55 I bough a Shunt and a digital gauge to monitor the voltage and the amps going to the car so I know how hard the charger is working and how much current is going into the batterie I have put all of this on a small rolling cart with a handle and cable management it work really nice I just want a second one a and a stronger one I use it has a charger and when I'm doing diagnostic work on a customer's car and when programming.

Any opinions on this device, Stetsom Bravo Charger PRO 70A. Do you think this will provide clean power supply?

I have the same jumper box you have. I don't have any battery maintainer. I am needing to program a pcm on 1998 e150. Can I just use the jumper box as maintainer? Also have you ever tried keeping the jumper box charger cable hooked up while programming with jumper box?

Also what is the optimal voltage needed to program a PCM? I see some people saying some things need 14 volts and how is your IOTA doing a year later. Any regrets such as another power supply?

What does it matter if the snap on voltage is more noisier than the iota ? It’s charging right ?

Well lots of stuff is better than snap on
