In this video, I go over 4 symptoms of being low on transmission fluid. There are some common things that your car will do when it doesn't have enough automatic transmission fluid in it. Once you've figured out that it's low on transmission fluid, you can take the necessary steps to start to figure out why it was low on fluid!

If you do happen to suspect your transmission to be low on fluid, it's not a bad idea to look for leaks. Gaskets and seals can naturally seep fluid as they age, but an excessively wet spot on the underside of the vehicle or dripping of fluid is a direct indication of a leak that needs to be repaired.
That fluid has to be going somewhere!

My car was doing exactly that!!! I’m not gonna drive it until next Friday and bring it to the trans guy. But it drove beautifully until a few days ago. Transmission symbol light just came on in yellow. I’m hoping it’s exactly what you said it could be. This was a great informative video. Also let people know that OVERfilling a transmission will cause alot of these same symptoms so please check your fluid the correct way, you could have too much fluid and assume that its low based off this video and seriously overfill your transmission even more

If it's REALLY low, it won't take off from a stop right away. The pump has to build the pressure to get it going. So if it hesitates from a stop, check your levels

This was exactly what I needed to find. My cars check engine light has been on 99% of the time since I got it two years ago. And now I feel the engine grabbing when I shift from drive to neutral and there’s a loud clanking sound constantly. I don’t trust the mechanic I bought my car from or the garage I’ve been taking it to right across the street from my home. They laugh at me when I leave. The last time I asked what is the problem so we can plan ahead and all they say is they will take care of things one at a time.

This was excellent advice. My MB S65 V-12 AMG had these lingering problems after dealership repaired limp mode problem. These symptoms arose immediately after limp mode repair delivery. Added fluid myself. All symptoms are now gone. Thanks for sharing this knowledge.
