Don't matter the vehicle trans fluid and filter need changing every 30, 000-35, 000 miles regardless of vehicle. Use dealership synthetic fluid and keep vehicle from overheating. Protect vehicle investment.

Got a 96 Firebird and a new transmission with only 2000 miles but the dealership that installed it never used a filter I found this out after experiencing slippage so I did a flush (dealership overfilled to accommodate no filter from ) and noticed there was no filter. Can this be fixed by adding a filter and the correct amount of fluid or is it too late ?
