Administering widespread application installation can be a headache and a trial, but if we look to the tricks of IT desktop professionals' trade, we can make the jobs of IT server professionals a lot easier.

VMM 2012 is great because it's where you can start working with virtual machines on top of Hyper-V. It also boasts a few new technologies for management and administration.

Two of those new technologies are called Server App-V and Web Deployment. Taken in combination, these two help administrators automate application installations — just like desktop IT professionals do.
