I bought iRacing back on December 13th 2024, not even a month ago, and excluding subscription, i paid ~$200 thus far on "extras". Fortunately, I've put in the time to research what tracks i need most for all the series i currently do. Although, i did make a mistake and bought vehicles for series i could not yet compete in (911 cup), or that have low numbers (TCR, Mustang FR500).

Pay someone to help you pass someone. That sounds like a skill issue. Only place I've needed help.winning was Superspeedways where drafting is the name of the game. And I didn't pay dude. Just put myself in the right positions.

Well giving you can buy a 2nd hand kz2 gearbox kart, licence, all the safety gear, tyres, good selection of spares, entrys fee and travel costs (assuming you already have a car) and all else required to actually go racing for no much more than a sim setup i definitely have to agree. Sim racing is just silly expensive. Plus in real life, you get the pleasure of actually working on it through the week, setups, mechanical skills, tools, real g forces

i use this service all the time, it is so nice once I pass them, they always help me go faster into the wall or gravel completely free of charge! They even help me remove my rear bumper bar or make all side panels more aerodynamic.

Joke aside there needs to be harsher penalties in non-ranked races, there is nothing worst then spending 10 minutes trying to pass someone, then once I pull it off, all the effort is undone by sole losers.

Why don’t they introduce harsh penalties in open lobbies - if they are genuinely causing others to spin out or started an accident, boot them off the server for an extended period of time.

Or get customers to pay for the privilege of avoiding people who can’t drive or those who doesn’t care about ranking.

Thoughts? surely there is a solution for this madness. What about instead of having to pay for cars and tracks, offer a paid service for those who actually want to race fairly ?
