It's time for Coach to lay down the law when his star player thinks he's better than the rest of the team - and the rules. Will he be allowed to play in the big game?

From Coach Season One Episode 11, "Who's Team Is It Anyway?": Hayden wants to teach the star player a lesson when he develops a superiority complex. Meanwhile, his daughter forces him to adopt a dog.

From "Coach", a TV series following football coach Hayden Fox, the head coach of Minnesota State University's Screaming Eagles for much of the series' run. He has to contend with a team that has seen better days, a couple of none-too-bright assistant coaches, a partner who isn't half as obsessed with football, the arrival of his long-estranged daughter at college and all the rest of the situations that come along in Big Ten athletics. For the show's final two seasons, Fox coaches an expansion team in the NFL.

I love how when he kicked the door shut the entire set started shaking.

This is what actually makes a lot of comedy shows like "Coach" or "Night Court" so enjoyable. Even with a lot hilarity going on, they still have episodes where there's always going to be somebody who needs a serious wakeup call.

Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn’t work hard.
Great scenes.

Mr incredible and Patrick star were once on the same show together, you learn a lot when you find classic series

The speech to the entire team right before this scene was really good. He spoke about not letting the team and having to do things you don't like personally, but that helps the team. Obviously after listening you assume he is letting the kid play.

I always loved Coach. It's one of those shows that had great players, and the actors had chemistry and fit their parts perfectly.

I f**King loved this show. My parents talked me into watching it with them back when it was on Netflix about 8 years ago and I loved it...binged the show and then bought a DVD copy of the entire series couple years later

This should be shown to every kid and parent who has a kid playing in high school sports.

"You're an ass." Sadly, there are a lot of people out there who think the same way as this kid. Better than everyone else, and thinks the rules don't apply to them.

Craig in this show Coach reminds me so much of my own dad (who was a coach and was nicknamed Coach). I love this show.

I think Craig T Nelson is one of the best actors ever.

All coaches in every sport should be like this man.

My dad, greatest man/football coach I've ever known taught me a lot. The one thing that sticks with me more than anything else is: "You can't be afraid to lose. You have to hate it to the core of your being, but you can't be afraid of it."
This clip is the embodiment of that statement.

Oh, and the scene where he made the team sing the fight song might be the funniest sitcom clip ever. Don't remember the episode, just that scene. Track it down!

I led my team in scoring year after year and started acting like this for a brief time. Luckily my parents were able to get my attitude straightened around. Can’t imagine if I ended up acting like this as an adult.
