Player Attacks Ref in Texas High School Football Game | 2020

A player who had been ejected earlier in the game charges into the ref and gives him a concussion. This was a high school football game in Texas between PSJA North and Edinburg High.

Update: Edinburg High has been disqualified from the playoffs because of this. And they won this game btw, so they would’ve continued their season and had a chance to win the championship had this not happened.

Update #2: The player has been charged with “assault causing bodily harm” and his bail has been set at $10, 000.

Update: Edinburg HS senior defensive lineman, Emmanuel Duron has been charged with Class A assault for this incident, and is being held in county jail on a $10K bond as of today
