What's So Good About Minecraft 1.9?

What Do You Think of Minecraft 1.9? Is the 1.9 update everything it's been cracked up to be? I give my thoughts on Minecraft 1.9 as well as some of the new changes, but this is mostly an opinion piece! Leave your feedback in the comments on Minecraft 1.9!

As a builder, I dont mind it. There aren't many new blocks, but the blocks that were added, like the End Rods, the Dragon's head, etc. are good for newer ideas, and the more blocks they add, the happier I'll be. But until we get Vanilla Minecraft Furniture, I wont be fully satisfied :P I can be hopeful :)

1.9 is the combat update, and combat it did update! It added tonnes of thing which I think are awesome. I love the new command block options they added and I am having a great time with the new sounds and combat mechanics.

I played 1.9. yesterday when it came out and there are some small glitches and awesome stuff:

-entering through nether portal is very laggy
(so no offense Tyler, again I love you but there should 1.9.2 for the small teensy tiny glitches and lags)
-Elytra spins (twists and turns)
-COMMAND BLOCKS
(this is why Tyler posts CCMP and i love those and I love Tyler's videos)
-Nothing else comes to mind now....Leave a like on this video and tell me what I missed

At first, I thought that 1.9 would be the downfall of PVP, I just thought of how slow the combat would be: But when playing PVP with some friends, It actually made battles more interesting by requiring skill. And ill never forget that time when my friends and i all jumped off of a sky platform, flew down to the ground, and began shooting tons of different arrows at eachother. Overall, 1.9 makes the combat more realistic, interesting, and definitely fun

Says there's nothing in the update for the people who play vanilla minecraft, only re worked the ender dragon, made a whole new world for the end, add a glider to find in vanilla survival, added the four hourse man, added a new mob to the end, but I guess nothing new for vanilla players 😉

To be honest, I think I speak for just about all pvpers when I say 1.9 was just a waste of time. Some things, like elytra, are cool, but most are just pointless.

Minecraft and TF2 are both really old games for a living community standards compared to Call of Duty. Everything will get toxic communities over time, it's impossible to stop. But people like you Logdotzip are one of the few filters for such a community.

This is in my opinion (no hate needed) Mojang called the new update "combat update" but instead of asking opinions on pvpers and people who actually use pvp, instead opinions came from a whole different community, and yes clicking, strafing, rodding, secondaries do take skill, in fact, Huge Amount of skill, its a different persperctive of minecraft and 1.9 pretty much ruined it, it does not worry me too much, since competitive servers such as badlion and mcsg wont be updating to 1.9 anyways (and that is a gurantee) Overall the 1.9 so called "combat update" feels more like a mod.
