Funny enough, when I first started my survival world, I couldn't find any decent lava pool, so I had to gather obsidian using a small dripstone lava farm. And only after I got myself a nether portal and an enchanting table, I found a proper lava pool pretty close to my base - just over a nearby hill!

I love how he's like "Having difficulty finding coal?" and then proceeds to use dripstone and lots of iron for cauldrons lol

For me, Scaffolding isn't difficult to make because of the bamboo. You find one jungle area, knock down one, and it grows at a very high rate. No, it's the STRING that's the problem. The only ways to really get string are spiders and cobwebs. If you're not dungeon delving or spending a lot of time hunting at night, you don't tend to get a lot of it.

I love how you let everyone know the bedrock java differences. Thank you. I've loved your videos for years and you are so entertaining.

2:29 Looms look like the internal part of a piano. There could be the use of both Dragon Heads and Looms to make a really detailed piano

7:20 this can actually be a megabase start by puting it in an irregular circle pattern and then removing the leaves then repeat until it is tall enough, the removed leaves can be used for the leaves of the main tree, both cheap and possibly a great way to start a project

i actually find it so hard to find coal after the recent caves update, i don’t see any of it on the lowest height level where i usually go to mine for diamonds. so surprisingly, in my new survival world i ended up having more gold and iron than coal, which means the dripstone infinite lava idea will be really useful to me.

when i saw the "tree house" at 7:26, i was hit with absolute nostalgia, i used to play minecraft on the xbox 360 on a cd, before elytras and crawling, and shields, and that was the only way i would want to build a house, saplings, i would show my sister i made a "tree house" which was a house made of trees, im so happy other people get to see it too

Regarding the "trap doors as walls" tip: I've recently loved using "walls" (as in the stone version of fences) as, well, walls because the little offset means you can get some nice looking variations both on the inside and out; for example, a cheap four-wall house looks almost passable if you use wood logs in the corners and then connect them with stone brick walls. You can even use glass panes pretty seamlessly. Only problem I haven't figured out a pretty solution for is that doors don't line up well, so you might have to work around that a bit. Still, I think it's an underused block, especially now that we have so many variants (and even more if you use mods!)

Tip for the second hack 0:55. Use bone meal on the moss blocks, it works just like how you bonemeal grass + flowers everywhere.

I love using Redstone. It's pretty much the main reason why I still play the game. I love the satisfaction of finishing a compact cool complicated Redstone build that works.

Spider webs are really good for hidden areas too. Seems like most people think it's a wall stopping them UNLESS they hit in the right area and start sliding slowly.

"its tough to make minecraft feel scary"

a really easy way to make a even less visible hidden trapdoor is to use scaffolding and put a top snow piece over the top which you can only enter if you are crouching on a specific block.

My favourite hacks here;
3. Candles and levers for cool indoor shelving
2. Item frames for decoration on bare tree logs and especially smokers
1. Lava dripstone cauldrons, absolutely wonderful

The amount of times I've thought about living in a massive spruce tree but never do it because I only think about it farming wood with a house already is a lot.
