Calcium also gives you tougher skin. I used calcium for 3 weeks and I have a habit biting my finger tissue, I was surprised that I couldn't bite a skin, so I'm giving up that habit. Also my face slightly became smoother. I also take magnesium and selenium, vitamins D on top of calcium. Skin needs calcium as well.

it's amazing that even with a lot of dairy, you still don't hit the 1, 000 mg target. 1500-2, 000 is better as you age. There's more to calcium than just muscle contractions.

Thought this would answer many of the questions left unanswered by other youtubers who tell people they not only don't need calcium supplements, they're actually dangerous, and then leave them hanging while they go on to make their next youtube video.

Unopposed calcium or sodium is a problem. It's confusing to doctors so don't feel dumb. Calcium is mostly regulated by vitamin D, magnesium and sodium. Eating nutritious foods should solve, or help the low calcium problem.

Be careful of the type of calcium you take. I had back surgery & needed to take 2000 units, this is more than they advise expecting mom’s to take. Took it no problem but I ran out of what I was using & I bought a brand that has a big advertising budget. Took the same dose but after 3 weeks I had a kidney stone. Moral of the story be careful of the type you take

My doctor informed me it's dangerous to take calcium as a supplement because it can cause calcium deposits in the body or hardening of the arteries. Getting it in a normal healthy diet is the way to go because it's balanced with other minerals in the food.
