There’s another youtuber who got their very well performing Etsy shop closed because of a $7 balance on an old account from their prior etsy shop that failed. He said he didn’t receive notification or email or anything regarding the past due balance that he owed years ago. His shop was closed for quarter 4, which is when most small business owners make the most sales to carry them through the low times during the year. It sucks that there isn’t a human deciding to close a shop and it’s mainly a bot. And to reach someone for help is almost impossible. Etsy needs to change.

No one should go on Etsy any longer or any other corporation. They don't do fair business. Unacceptable.

Etsy did this tax info thing with me a few years ago. I kept making sure my info was accurate and they kept sending me emails that my tax info wasn’t updated. I got sick of Etsy so closed my shop and solely use my own website.

I am new to watching your videos so not sure what you make for Etsy but not sure if you knew that Amazon has a handmade section. You have to apply to get on there it's more of them verifying you actually make your own stuff. I have been on there for about 5-6 years now and they do have phone service if you have issues. I also have my own Shopify store which I love that as well. Shopify has a lot of built in SEO that really helps my store get seen. Good luck to you!

I’m just starting my business, and it never crossed my mind to start with Etsy, I have heard so many horror stories about them, that I would not risk to put all my eggs in one basket. I started with Shopify, I am not at the mercy of the Etsy Tyrant.

I just came across your video and watched because I am a new seller to the handmade market. I was considering Etsy but after doing my research and hearing the stories, I'm going to stay clear. But, I did find a new platform that's working for me. It's called Mainly Made on the District platform. Like I said, it's a new platform that is still growing. I won't post the link unless you give me permission, or you can research it yourself.

Etsy suspended my store after 4 years of hard work. 1, 500 good review/ 5, 000 orders! I now sell on Ebay & Amazon. I don't wish Etsy well ! I hate it with a passion!

I find your experience with Etsy very concerning. I am intending launching on their platform in due course. However, the lack of transparency from them when things go wrong or need fixing is food for thought 💭

Hello I have watched many videos and they all have the same problem, I think everybody should sue Etsy ...because since no one does nothing they keep doing the same thing to everyone. And you are right IF NO ETSY SELLERS NO ETSY...

Etsy is a bully organization any relationship with them is like an abusive relationship. You walk on eggshells trying not to trigger them. Cross all t's dot all i's but no matter how careful some unforseen thing happens some minor issue and boom they abuse to the extreme total suspension. When you appeal you are always denied with no explanation. I got totally banned by doing what they asked. I was new setting up my shop. Would not accept my debit card. I went out got a new one loaded it boom shop finished. I'm open then in a couple minutes I get a notice I need to confirm my info by loading an ID. I load my ID suddenly boom red screen suspension. No idea why I sent the appeal they said denied thank you for considering Etsy good luck with future endeavors. All I did was follow their directions. Don't do business with these jerks. Delete your store move on.

I was just about to say " Don't put all your eggs in one basket. " Then you mentioned it lol. But yeah, a lot of people have a shopify and drive their own traffic with other social media and ads as well. I wish you luck

I just opened an Etsy shop and managed to find a page where you can submit your number to have support call you. Let me see if I can find it.

I found a product that I fell in love with. When I contacted the seller she let me know that she was shutting down her shop. 😔

I'm not a big shop like you I'm not a big shop like yours and I sell things that are afro-cuban I was so excited to start posting stickers that come from Afro Cuban descent from that religion and they kept shutting off my stickers. Apparently anything Cuban is a No-No mind you I'm an American. I eventually did get somebody to turn on the stickers back again but it seems like I have to do this quite often when it is part of a religion not of a geographical State and this has been very disappointing and it has been the only shop I have ever had so I understand your frustration
