Six sets of low rep strength work is too much volume for strength increases for most people. Youll burnout and won't be increasing your poundage past a point.

Maybe I’m just a bitch but, 6-7 sets of 1-5 reps is crazy. My strength usually drops after 3 sets, sometimes 2, and the last set or sets I have to drop the weight by 5-10 lbs.
