I really like the tempi in this performance. This piece has a large sense of urgency, and too many conductors take a leisurely pace.

Wonderful- but I’ve been reading that newly discovered conversation books suggest Beethoven could hear sometime, and his ingenious wood conduction could allow him to hear the piano through the bones of his jaw, like when one covers his ears and hears his own voice- just sayin …
