Feminism: woman can do whatever they want
Woman: do whatever they want
Feminism: *angry noises*

What shocked me was when she tells that her husband decided about the use of pain relief during the birth of their children, she said the one time she used pain relief "it was kinda great"...

The author also never uses Hannah's first name. She calls her by her last name, Neelman, all while using Daniel's first name throughout. Wierd choice. Very disrespectful.

I live in Utah, and people here have various lifestyles, just like everywhere else. But of course, we get labeled Mormon country. I'm not a member of the LDS, and actually, the population here is now more non-LDS than LDS for the first time. Regardless, Utah is their promised land, and I suspect they'll always be here, doing their thing and minding their own business. Here's my anecdotal evidence, yet LDSers are some of the nicest people I've ever met. A family of 7 opened up their farm for my son's entire pre-K class to come visit and learn about the animals! They provided parking, food and drinks, everything! It was very gracious and kind of them!! Ballerina Farm happens to be wildly successful because it's a family operation. I hope many families like this continue to thrive, and Utah is the place to do it.

I usually agree but when she said no to a date with him so he made her go and when she said she didn’t want to get married so quick and he said she had to it seems a little off. I am a very traditional person but to me that seems kinda off. Many people would love that lifestyle I know I would but it seems abit weird to me that he knew her for 6 months and tried asking her out and she said no and then he finds her flight and then tells her they have to marry that quick rubs me the wrong way. Again I agree with sacrificing but as soon as he saw her it seemed like he planned there whole life and knew he had to have her even if she said no to a date with him and she didn’t like the timeline of how fast there relationship was going. We shouldn’t use this couple as an example and I hate that this is how more traditional families are being represented when there are so many better examples that aren’t this one.

The only crime is her husband not taking her to Greece. It'll be different if they were poor (they aren't) and if his dad wasn't part owner of Blue Jet (he is). Instead he buys her an egg apron after she kept saying "omg is this tickets to Greece." She wants a vacation!

My wife has a dance degree, and is the director of dance at an arts center. When she has dancers that want to continue their dance career professionally, she always tells her dancers “dancing is temporary. Your body will eventually break down, so make sure you have a backup plan. There are very few professional dancers over the age of 35. Dance as long as you can, but think about what you want to do after that.” And it’s great advice. I don’t know this woman, but it sounds like she had the ability to transition into a new role as she saw fit. And isn’t that what peak feminism is? Having as many opportunities as men? So she got to be a dancer, and now a mom, wife, business owner, entrepreneur, influencer. Sounds like peak (true) feminism to me.

I am so tired of this narrative. Just because people hate this way of living doesn’t mean she’s a victim or being coerced.

It’s not just feminists. I think there are a lot of people who just hate videos like this because people hate being lied to. These peoples lives don’t reflect the realities of 99% of people. So it all just feels like a lie. Nobody is always smiling, happy, productive, clean, energetic or without stress. Unless you’re in a cult. Most family farmers are deep in debt and struggling to survive. This super clean, soft skinned “farmer” is more likely to be a factory farmer with a petting zoo at home. People who are desperate for honesty and truth in a world of lies would love to see someone pull this off, but with the reality of the hard work it takes to pull it off. We want to see how this can be a reality for others. Instead it’s just Bam, we’re perfect, and everything can be perfect for you, if you weren’t so stupid, lazy and/or poor. Show us how the freaking sausage is made! Don’t just feed it to us. At the very best, they are just bragging.

I am Mormon. My parents got engaged in 6 months. They had their first kid at 23 and 27, 2 years after they got married. They are still happily married 20 years later with 4 kids. Why do people think that they have to define what a healthy marriage and dating timeline should be? Why is it any of their business? People have serious issues.

She also gave birth to all her kids naturally. She only had the epidural once; and that was because her husband wasn’t there. Does that mean he didn’t want her to get the epidural when giving birth?

I remember assignments I’d have in middle and high school that required me to conduct an interview and write a corresponding article. I always lost marks anytime the teacher caught the slightest whiff of bias. The feedback always was: your assignment is a report, not an op-ed.

Her husband gave her an apron for her birthday 🤦🏻‍♀️

The article featured a picture of her as the prima ballerina for Swan Lake. No dancer gets to that point and then just *~quits~* because her husband or religion says so. The kind of person it takes to get to that level of ballet would tell the whole world to hang before stopping when she didn’t want to.

Most ballerinas retire ~29. It’s unsurprising she stepped away for their farm around that age.

The part that gets me riled up the most. Offering someone hospitality and them proceedings to tell the world that my children are annoying. Lady. You're someone's annoying child. My children are children.

Have you seen the egg apron video? That is what I saw first, and it was really pretty sad to see her plainly saying what she really wants and having it totally ignored.

12:21 "she can build a dance studio whenever she wants" but can she??, why is the farm registered on his name only? If he is as controlling and domineering as this article portraits him to be, maybe she doesn't have any financial freedom to make such decisions?

A man who truly loved his wife would have stopped filming when he realized she'd thought it was tickets to Greece. He continued filming because it's humiliating for her. Put her in her place. So upsetting.

When I chose to become a stay at home mother and wife at the age of 21, before finishing my teaching degree, the judgement I received from mostly women was unreal!
