My dear Lou, I started to follow you since last November. I can feel your anxiety from Canada. May I suggest you some tips ? (I'm suffering from anxiety too). Those tips may not work with you but you can try and see !

1- Writing goals. You can take a long term goal and create little steps to make the mountain smaller. I love to use the hiking exemple: You can't jump from the bottom to the top of a mountain right ? You have to start your adventure at the bottom and usually, you don't run as if your life depended on it. You pace yourself to keep the rhythm of your hiking. Life is the same thing. You can't anticipate every obstacles you will encounter but you can prepare your mind and be ready to find a strategy to avoid them.

2- Journaling. Writing a journal is always great to clear your mind and regulate your emotions most of the time. You try to make a list of the things you want and the things you need. Keep them updated in your journal to see your progress ! You'll see your priority first and it will be easier to organize your mind one thing at the time.

3- Meditation. You do not have to do like an hour but 5-10 minutes in the morning, maybe a 15-20 minutes before going to bed. You'll regulate your breathing to let your body liberate itself from tensions and feel better.

4- I know you're trying to stay positive. You can find maybe one or two positive sentences to repeat everyday. Your brain will assimilate it.

5- I'm encouraging you to read on a product : Rhodiola. It helps anxiety and stimulate your brain. However, don't jump on it as a miracle. It's a support and it may not suiting you. Read carefully to see if it will help especially with your health.

6- Find a passion or hobby like drawing, painting, play music, singing, dancing, creating stuff (knitting, crochet, art craft). Artistic hobbies can help to put the overwhelming feelings out of your body and stimulate your self-confidence and your brain.

Maybe you already tried those things, sorry if it's repetitive. Keep your mind clear and just do your best :) We are all with you. I'm wishing you the best my dear.

With all the negativity and trash that is often seen on social media, it's wonderful to watch your videos and others like them. They're honestly a breath of fresh air. Thank you for sharing!! ❤

In the UK we wash towels when we need to - when we've nearly run out OR when we're doing a cottons wash. I don't know many people who wash every day as that would not be very ecologically sound. It would also be rather expensive! So pleased you're feeling better now. I had wondered where you had gone!!😊

I wash towels weekly (traveling in the UK). After all, I'm using them when I'm clean. No sense in creating more laundry than necessary.

Lou, I also have a lot of anxiety. Something that has helped me is the idea of "pace yourself." You should feel proud of whatever you accomplish in one day, remember to take breaks, as you aren't being lazy, but pacing yourself! Anxiety will never go away, but a different mindset always helps :)

I change my towels when needed as i always have spares. When my wash basket fills up i have a basket for towels and bed sheets and one for our clothes, i only wash once a week to save electricity and water as it's so expensive here in the UK.

So good to see you back. You are an incredible, strong woman that can do everything. I watch you from Chicago in the USA. Remember you are never alone. All of your watchers love you and think of you often.

Lou, I just want you to know how much your videos inspire me! I also live alone and watching you navigate life gives me the courage to get out and do more things by myself. I used to wait until someone could go along with me, but you show me that I can have just as much fun alone! Thank you!!

I'm so glad you finally posted! Glad you are back! Just a note, though: It's actually not safe to reuse cooking oil in which meats like chicken or pork were fried, because the juices from the meat seeps into the oil, and even if the oil is refrigerated, there's danger of salmonella poisoning.

Regarding Japanese sweets, the first one is probably called "Botamochi" or "Ohagi". Usually it is just glutinous rice wrapped in anko (red bean paste), but the kinako version is covered with even more kinako (soybean flour).
The leaves of "Sakura Mochi" are edible. They are pickled in salt to balance the sweet red bean paste.
