How To Transfer Files To/From Computer And Android Phone

In this video, I show you how to transfer files (whether it be a song, a picture or video, a word document, etc) to your Android phone from your Windows computer or to your computer from your Android phone. This is how you can manually back up your information, saving pictures you've taken, videos you've recorded, etc.

Its important to note that if you want to connect your memory card (microsd) to your computer, you'll have to hit the "mount USB" button on your phone's notification bar for it to properly connect if you're doing it through your USB cable. If you are putting the SD card in the computer directly, than you won't have to take this step.

Damn! Real hard to run across a tutorial that gets right to the point, stays on topic, and gets the job done fast. I absolutely could not make sense out of a tutorial 10 minutes long to explain this. I am also blown away at the comments below (thanks for leaving them there) where people complain it is too short and fast. Most interesting. This adds to a theory of mine, that there are at least two kinds of learning brains. I thank you much for the great tutorial. Keep up the quick and to the point tutorials, as we are saturated with long tutorials on yt.

HOURS, I spent hours trying to figure this out from forums and other videos. Technologically advanced people treat those that aren't whizzes in the field like they're morons when they don't get it. Little do they know, they SUCK at giving directions. I can't thank you enough for your quick, step by step video. If I had found it first, I'd be sleeping by now. THANK YOU!!!

After you transferred them from the camera roll album to the custom folder you created, did you make sure that those pictures are no longer in the camera roll? Because it is likely that you copied and pasted the pictures, not cut. Let me know.

Basically a lot of phones are set to only charge when you plug a USB cord into a Computer. So go to your Storage options in your phone and you can change the settings from USB Charging to USB Computer Connection. Shouldn't be too hard to find, hope this helps.

I thought maybe this is how it is done. But I'm wondering if you have an SD card in your phone for extra storage? I would like to turn this old smartphone into a recipe file because it is good for nothing else. But I will probably have to add an SD card. I know this is a very old video but the information you give is still very timely.
