New Secret Details of T-14 Armata come to Light!

Not too long ago, I covered some of the details that came to light involving the protection of the T-14 Armata. Where we saw that the turret is not very well protected at all, that is, it lacks any kind of composite armor protection, and that the Explosive Reactive Armor, named Monolith, is nothing really!! revolutionary, but appears to be sort of an improvement over Relikt, it doesn’t mean it is bad in any way, but just that it is not some supreme sort of protection some people might have been led to believe. But now, we got more details about the internal components of the tank, more notably, the crew compartment, the autoloader and the storage of ammunition inside the tank.

People talk about this tank more than we've seen actual footage of it

The T-14 is like in HOI4 when you get a new tank build but the fucking game is going to end before your mils can furnish any battalions with it.

People are taking what Red said out of context. If you start at 3:14 you can see that he is actually saying that a crew would be 100% safe in the event of an ammo cookoff not an ammo detonation. A cookoff is like the clip he plays around this time with a big fireball shooting out of a T-72's hatches in layman's terms it's the ammo burning. If this where to happen on an Armata it would likely shoot out of the turret ring and barrel giving the crew time to bail out or reverse. In the event of an actual detonation (ammo exploding think turret throwing) there is a decent chance that it could blast through the wall depending on the design.

Everybody asks, ' where is the Armata ?! '

Nobody asks, how is the Armata 😢

Remember to check up on your homies and tank development programs

The T-14 is very well protected. It is protected by hundreds of miles of distance from any enemy

I swear, does nobody in this comment section understand the difference between EXPLOSION and COOK-OFF ?
A "cook-off" is (usually) when the propellant charge in one or multiple of the ammo starts burning, releasing a lot of flames, which usually exit through the gun and the hatches, it CAN lead to an "explosion", which is why you usually bail the f*ck out of the tank no matter what.
An "explosion" is when you have (usually) the ordonnance (HE/HEAT/ATGMs) violently detonate inside the tank, sending ANY tank's turret into stable orbit.

T-14 is the safest tank in history, because they are only active during parades.

This has been such a good channel for armored vehicle information. I think it's also really cool to see how the presenter's English has improved since the channel began as well. It's always fun to see somebody making improvements and getting better at something.

The thing about the 'armoured crew compartment' is- is the amount of energy needed to buckle that armoured wall more or less than the energy needed to eject the turret? Because if that carousel goes off, you have a whole lot of explosive energy contained in a tiny little box, looking for the fastest possible exit.
Blowing through a thin flat plate could be the easier route- that turret holds a very heavy gun and mechanisms.
Abrams can survive ammo cookoffs only because it has blowout panels that allow the energies to escape easily.

I saw an interview with an American tank commander many years ago, he was asked about the T-14 and said this isn't the tank to be concerned about, it's what comes after it. I wish I could remember where I saw it.

Honest question: With the current tank warfare, where the main threats no longer comes from the front, but from everywhere, side rear top bottom you name it.. Is the Afganit as an hard kill APS system a flawed and ultimately outdated concept? Since it has a rather poor coverages, only 180° to wherever the turret is facing, and can't really do much against top attack munitions.
