The 3 years I was on cpap I was always tired. Lost 55 pounds and been off cpap for 2 months and the exhaustion is almost gone.

It took 3 sleep studies before my OSA was diagnosed, so I'm certain that 2.4% number is low. The criteria are too stringent.
We should be allowed to buy these things off the shelf.

Many thanks for this education video. To clarify the crucial point of what OSA is; there are multiple episodes of upper airway cessations, and the oxygen saturations therefore decrease by 3% or more. Five or more episodes per hour are required for a diagnosis. The AHI helps determine the severity, with a score >30 indicating severe OSA.

As annoying as a cpap is i like using it. It has become part of my nightly routine. I think it'll be weird without one

Good thing that there were captions available. If you want to communicate information, speaking slowly and clearly would be expected!

I sometimes wake up with very dry mouth and my doctor told me this was a symptom of sleep apnea. It doesn't happen every night but almost almost always when I wake up sleeping on my back and my head in a unusual position. If I wake up from sleep on my right side which is typically how I sleep, I almost never have dry mouth. So is this truly a symptom of sleep apnea? Any comments please.
