Fun fact about the basement: You can use Reassurance from outside of Garden of Joy building if a person is hooked in it's basement, because the level of the building goes up, decreasing the distance to the hook to 6m

The right hook is good cause you can see if someone’s trying to sneak down the stairs while in the animation

The front hook used to be the best hook for trickster, but after they updated the basement, the wall geometry in the stairway became inconsistent and you can no longer chain trickblades into the survivor unhooking. You used to be able to follow a survivor into the basement, and even when they turned the corner and started the grab, you'd still be able to land shots and even interrupt it sometimes, but after the update the walls are all jagged and not aligned for that anymore unless you're lucky.

you forgot something. the back hook is also call "The Naughty Hook". generally called that by survivors due to the fact that it's harder to get the unhook from, so you must have made the killer angry/tilted to get them to go to the effort to hook you there. or at least that's their reasoning.
