hey what's up guys it's Levi I got another how-to for you in this video I'm going to quickly go over how to apply a ceiling knock down texture so you see that we've got this ceiling texture brush you're going to need one of those it's very important when you're doing a texture like this next thing you're going to see is that we have the joint compound which you can mix or you can use a pre-mix either one is fine and then we also have a bucket of water the bucket of water is important because we're going to consistently add water to our mix to make sure that we have the right consistency and the right consistency is basically going to be just a tacky mix that kind of gets splattered up on the ceiling and then leaves a little hang Downs on the ceiling so that we can knock down later so you can see us applying it here with this brush basically we'll just dip it in our pan and then we'll slap it on the ceiling that'll leave the texture that we need to knock down and then when it sets up a little bit we'll take a trowel and knock it down that's it
