I've always been perfectly satisfied with choice. However, over the last 6-12 months, it seems that choice is no longer choice. At least where I shop, the quality has taken a nose dive. I buy prime now, and it seems it tastes like choice used to.... If choice is that bad now, I'd be afraid to even try select.

The truth is I have found US standard meat grading in East Asia and Western Europe, labeled as USDA. I prefer Choice meat tho. It's the budget meat for the Blue- Collared person,   or the Working Class.

I wish the farmers could sell directly to the end consumer. USDA slaughter houses are nasty and expensive. Not having USDA inspected meat would be a bonus if you know where the meat came from.
